Today, the Texas State Affordable Housing Corporation
(TSAHC) announced it will be paying one month's mortgage payment for five lucky
winners as part of its "Mortgage-Free Monday" raffle. To be
eligible to win, home buyers must close a loan using TSAHC's home buyer
programs between April 1 and June 26, 2015. TSAHC will conduct the drawing
on Monday, June 29, 2015.
TSAHC is a statewide nonprofit organization created at the
direction of the Texas Legislature to serve the housing needs of Texasfamilies
and individuals. TSAHC's home buyer programs provide eligible home buyers with
several assistance options, including fixed-rate mortgage loans and grants for
down payment. Home buyers who have not owned a home in the last three
years can also apply for a special annual tax credit known as a mortgage credit
certificate.
TSAHC's home buyer programs are open to low and
moderate-income households including teachers, police officers, correctional
officers, fire fighters and EMS personnel and military veterans. To view
